Frontier Airlines

Datalex delivered its Merchandising Platform to Frontier Airlines, enabling Frontier’s hugely successful AirFairs product. The flexible platform enables Frontier Airlines to react quickly to business and market requirements and has driven conversions of 40% to higher fares levels with significant yields. Frontier Airlines maintains complete control over how and when products are sold through Datalex’s advanced technology solution, providing the airline with competitive advantage.

United Airlines

Datalex’s TDP provides a proven and robust flight merchandising solution to United Airlines that supports the future growth of the airline’s direct channel. Through the Economy Plus up-sell functionality, United has driven USD100m in additional revenue on www.united.com. Customers can search multiple combinable promotions across all shopping paths in a single search and view lowest fares and merchandised options for a range of dates. The platform provides United with enhanced configurability, ensuring ease of administration and maintenance independent of internal and external systems.

Aer Lingus

Datalex has provided Aer Lingus with flexible fare merchandising and flight-driven dynamic packaging via the TDP Merchandising Platform. Features include seat selection, baggage fees, last seat indicator and manage booking functionality. The TDP Merchandising Console configures promotional bundled offerings such as low fare and flexi fare, while car rental and insurance shopping is integrated into the booking process, enabling higher conversions. Aer Lingus has achieved ancillary sales of EUR17 per passenger processed with the TDP Merchandising Platform, achieving ancillary sales growth of 71.5%. Aer Lingus’s distribution cost-of-sale was reduced from 28% to 8% and continues to fall.

STA Travel

The Travel Distribution Platform provides STA Travel with a point-of-sale system for 400 branches, providing each with advanced shopping capabilities and a comprehensive TDP fares pricing system for all air itineraries. Integrated search and booking functionality is also provided for hotel, car, insurance, attraction and package contracts. One month after implementation, STA Travel experienced a 25% increase in productivity and a 10-fold improvement in system performance.

At www.statravel.com, TDP was deployed to support high volume searches and transactions with shopping basket functionality for multiple product types. Benefits included significant increases in bookings and improved look-to-book ratio, as well as providing STA Travel with the ability to dynamically adjust pricing to match prevailing market forces.
